How to test your proxy connection before going live
A short connection test can catch incorrect credentials, ports, protocols, and location assumptions before they affect a larger job.
Check the endpoint first
Confirm the host, port, protocol, username, and password match the details in your dashboard. A single character out of place can prevent a connection.
Test with a small request
Use curl or the proxy tester to confirm the public IP, response time, and the selected location before sending production traffic.
Check the application settings
If the endpoint works in a direct test but not in your tool, verify whether it expects HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5 and whether DNS requests should use the proxy.
